Pediatric PPEC – Day Shift

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Pay Range: $26–$35 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join a Pediatric Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center in Haines City, FL.
This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about working with medically complex children in a structured, team-oriented clinical setting. You will provide skilled nursing care, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, and support children’s medical and developmental needs during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities

Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in a PPEC setting

Administer medications (oral, enteral, subcutaneous, and IV as applicable)

Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning
-
Manage tube feedings and oxygen therapy
-
Monitor and manage seizure activity and neurological conditions
-
Provide wound care and post-surgical care
-
Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, repositioning)

Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately

Maintain and review Medication Administration Records (MAR)

Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary care team members
-
Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment
Required Qualifications
-
Active Florida RN or LPN license
-
Current CPR and First Aid certification
-
Ability to pass Level II background screening
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
-
Strong documentation and communication skills
-
Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients

Oxygen-dependent patient care

IV therapy (within scope of practice)
