💵 Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hour, based on experience

Job Description

Under the Director of Nursing’s guidance, the Registered Nurse (RN) supports the health and development of medically fragile children in a structured daycare environment. The RN is responsible for implementing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, therapists, and caregivers to ensure a safe and supportive environment for each child.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care to children in a PPEC setting

• Administer medications and manage feeding tubes, oxygen, and other medical needs

• Monitor for signs of distress, infection, or medical emergencies

• Perform treatments such as suctioning, tracheostomy care, wound care, and seizure monitoring

• Complete accurate, timely documentation and charting

• Collaborate with LPNs, therapists, CNAs, and families to support daily routines

• Maintain a safe and hygienic care environment in accordance with facility standards and state regulations

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing

• Current CPR (Pediatric BLS) and First Aid Certification

• Experience in a PPEC, pediatric, or critical care setting highly preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must pass Level II background screening

• Compassionate, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced pediatric setting

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Tracheostomy and ventilator care

• G-tube and J-tube feeding experience

• Familiarity with common pediatric conditions (seizures, respiratory conditions, developmental delays)

• Multilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
