Job Description

Under the Director of Nursing’s guidance, the RN/LPN delivers high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in a home setting. The nurse supports the patient’s medical and emotional needs by following established care plans, administering treatments, monitoring for changes, and working closely with families to ensure continuity of care.

This is a hands-on, one-on-one opportunity to make a difference in a child’s daily life and long-term wellbeing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration (oral, G-tube, subcutaneous)
• Provide assistance with feeding, hygiene, dressing, and mobility as needed
• Monitor vital signs, medication effects, and signs of distress or complications
• Perform complex care tasks such as:
  • Tracheostomy care
  • G-tube feedings
  • Seizure observation and response
  • Oxygen management
• Assist with wound care and documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely charting and communication
• Support daily development and comfort in coordination with family members
• Travel to the patient’s home as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Valid Florida RN or LPN license (unrestricted)
• Pediatric experience in homecare or clinical setting
• Skilled in trach and G-tube care
• CPR certification (Pediatric preferred)
• Must pass Level II background check
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and time management

Preferred Experience With:

• Seizure disorders / neurological conditions
• Oxygen dependence / respiratory support
• IV therapy (RNs)
• Complex post-surgical recovery
• Failure to thrive / feeding challenges
• Rare or genetic disorders
• Pre/post organ transplant care
• Spina Bifida / developmental delays

Compensation

• LPNs: $26 – $31/hour
• RNs: $30 – $35/hour
• Flexible scheduling available
